The Norwegian National Rail Administration have signed a NOK 8.7 billion (€1 billion) contract with Acciona Ghella Joint Venture (AGJV) to design and build the 20 km twin-tunnel – “Follobanen”, currently the largest infrastructure project in Norway.

The EPC TBM contract is the second in a number of four contracts for the Follo Line Project. The twin-tunnel is designed for high-speed trains of up to 250km/hour and will be the longest railway tunnel in Scandinavia when completed in 2021.

The construction of the twin-tunnel, will for the first time in Norway, involve the simultaneous deployment of four Tunnel Boring Machines (TBM), two machines drilling north towards Oslo and two drilling south, towards Ski.

ACCIONA being a Spanish global infrastructure and renewable energy group, and Ghella, being an Italian construction company with relevant experience in underground work, are together bringing their worldwide tunnelling experience to Norway through AGJV.

We are looking for an

Industrial electrician with assembly experience

Area of responsibility:

  • Organize the work and manage the team of electricians, with workplace inside the tunnel
  • Schedule, assign, plan and monitor the work of the assigned electrical teams performance on a variety of electrical projects
  • Plan and develop work schedules, perform scheduled maintenance and assist when required
  • Create a fault finding structure to minimize downtime
  • Manage the teams worktime-schedules, equipment and tools
  • Make plans for the team and assist and support Chief Electrical when required

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience as an electrician
  • Minimum of 3 years as Electrical Supervisor
  • Excellent knowledge of tools, equipment, material, electrical code, standards and regulations, both related to high and low voltage
  • Excellent knowledge on supervisory principles, techniques and practices
  • Excellent knowledge of safety regulations
  • Teambuilding qualifications with a good team spirit with proven results
  • Skills in installation, repair, and maintenance of all types of electrical system-equipment and HV/LV systems
  • DSB-certified, high and low voltage certifications
  • FSE-training (H/L)
  • Skilled in estimating time and material requirements of assigned work projects
  • Good communication skills. Able to communicate effectively in both English and Norwegian, both written and oral. English is essential
  • Knowledge about the local market

Additional Information:

Office location will be at Åsland, Oslo (Project site). The project will have buses corresponding to and from Oslo Central train station on a daily basis.
